Overtuned Fest, a genre-merging initiative developed by Alexey Logunov, Jee Won Kim, and Christopher Herz, took place February 23–26 in Bloomington, Indiana. The four-day festival brought together 50 composers, visual artists, and performers across four concerts presented at venues throughout the city.
The festival also marked the launch of the new music ensemble Overtuned, which presented its debut program on the opening night. Conceived as the beginning of a larger artistic initiative, Overtuned aims to create dynamic collaborations across musical styles, media, and artistic disciplines.
Overtuned Fest 2026 was made possible through generous support from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Community Impact Grant, the Indiana University Funding Board, and the Open Stages Grant in partnership with Constellation Stage and Screen Inc.
The Overtuned team also gratefully acknowledges the support and collaboration of the Jacobs School of Music Office of Entrepreneurship and Career Development, the Student Composers Association, Pilar Arts, and WFHB Community Radio.

Overtuned Fest, a genre-fusion project developed by Alexey Logunov, Jee Won Kim, and Christopher Herz in partnership with the IU Student Composers Association (SCA) and Monroe County Community School Corporation (MCCSC), has been awarded the Jacobs School of Music Community Impact Grant 2026 from the Office of Entrepreneurship and Career Development (OECD).
This grant will support the presentation of Overtuned Fest in February 2026, bringing a diverse program of new works and cross-genre collaborations to the Bloomington community. The festival will showcase premieres by IU composers and alumni, highlighting new approaches to composition and performance.
In addition to concerts, the festival will include educational events, guest artist presentations, and community engagement activities designed to connect audiences with emerging voices in contemporary music.

Alexey Logunov’s Let’s play together? (2023) was presented at the MISE-EN Festival 2025 in New York, performed by pianist Yumi Suehiro. Originally premiered at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, the work has since been presented at international events including reMusik.org Festival 2023, the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) 2025 and MOXsonic 2026.
