Program notes
The dramaturgy of The Universe’s Lament for piano and symphonic orchestra is based on the contrast between two images: a global catastrophe leading to the demise of humanity, and the universe mourning it in silence. The theme of the universe, initially representing an isolated and impersonal realm, gradually becomes intertwined with the human world as the music progresses toward the climax.
