On the Blue Sea was premiered on April 4, 2023, at the Indiana University Recital Hall in Bloomington, USA. The premiere featured Elizaveta Agladze (mezzo-soprano), Tierney McClure (flute), Marienn Sanchez (violin), and Alexey Logunov (piano), with Hung-Yuan Cheng conducting. The work received the 2023 Indiana University Georgina Joshi Composition Award.
