In March 2025, Alexey Logunov joined guitarist, composer, and improviser Jessica Ackerley for a five-city Midwest tour exploring the intersections of contemporary composition, free improvisation, and experimental performance.
The tour included performances at Saint Louis University (St. Louis, MO), Elastic Arts (Chicago, IL), Bantha Café (Pittsburgh, PA), Episcopal Church of the Redeemer (Lorain, OH), and Moondog Café (Detroit, MI).
Performing as pianist and keyboardist, Logunov collaborated with Ackerley in programs featuring original compositions, improvisations, and new collaborative works. The tour further expanded his artistic practice at the intersection of contemporary classical music, experimental performance, and improvisation while engaging with audiences across the Midwest.
